Finally ...

Let me set the scene. There is this one program for which I'm the principle developer [for those who don't know, I'm a computer programmer] & is used by my company. It is shipped as part of our suite of software & thus gets used by our subsidiaries around the world. Sounds great huh?

Yes, it is great until you get into a situation where a recent software upgrade caused my program to behave erratically & fail frequently. Think of the Windows 95 days & the blue screen of death, get the picture? Some of the users brushed it off [bless their souls] and were patient with it. One particular user got rather anal & phoned his boss to complain. That was when the pressure rose & I was dunked into hot water. "Fix it", you say? Well, easier said than done as the problem did not always occur. Similar to an episode of House where they had problems finding the cause of a patient's illness.

"Pray", you say? Sure I did, numerous times. Yet today, my prayer was different. It had an extra dollop of desperation & a good measure of surrender. I had spent 2 months debugging & couldn't find the solution yet today I was able to solve it in less than half an hour.

At the end of it all, I looked up & said,

"Show off!"

Well, if anyone is qualified to do so, He certainly is. Thanks, I'm grateful ... really.
