I waaaannnn ...

At the risk of sounding like a 5 year old kid [I wouldn't mind the age really] standing outside the kantin wanting a lollipop ... I waaaannnnnn this

Why? 'Cos I was inspired. There is something about capturing a beautiful moment in time, a snapshot of life that is never the same again which gives a sense of satisfaction that none can match.

"What inspired you?", you may ask. Here are a few links.
Kid Chan, a highly sought after photographer from Malaysia. Just click on the link above & wait for his slides to load. Another is 39 East Images based in Singapore. Want more? There is a treasure trove at Artistic Wedding Photojournalism, an emerging trend where wedding photos are not so much about set poses but more about the photographer capturing candid heartfelt moments in real life, in real time.

I'm sure you'll be inspired too.

[Update: I've been looking through the prices for a camera & accessories. They're prohibitively expensive. I mean approximately AUD$1600 for the camera (includes a standard lense) & AUD$600 for a wide-angled lense. Yikes!! Quite an expensive hobby.

Hi Marianne,

The first name is familliar, could this be him?

Wonderful pics. Wedding pictures are the best in my opinion. Everyone is happy, dressed magnificently with amazing decorations / food. I don't think anyone can ever browse through a set of wedding photos without feeling a little happier than before.

Spare a thought for the photographer though, the stress of it all. This is one of the most important days in someone's life, don't mess it up. ~Gulp~

Like they say, the person having the least fun at the party is the one with the camera.

Thanks for the link to the blog, quite an enjoyable read.
