Back from holidays ...
One common comment from those back from holidays is "It is soooo good to be home!" [home as in Perth] which I find rather interesting since they're returning from their hometown. Another common one is that they miss their "own bed" which I can relate to since I traveled a lot last year. I don't miss my bed if I'm in a comfortable hotel room though =).
Then one more, "I'll never take Tiger again". For those who are unaware, your baggage limit is 15kg however you can 'upsize' to 20kg [5kg for $30, ridiculous!] 72 hours prior to your flight. They're very strict on the baggage limit. Also, you're not allowed to bring your own food to be consumed on board which I find rather unreasonable. Oh by the way, only 5 check-in counters for Tiger Airlines are opened at the airport. Emirates Airlines next door had 9 counters opened.
The funny thing is, upon arrival in Singapore at the budget terminal, there is a sign saying "Feel the difference", yeah ... they sure are different alright!
Have you flown on Tiger or another budget airline before? Was your experience a pleasant one? I haven't done so myself, not yet anyway ...

ting and i travelled to singapore in oct last year on tiger airways.. the flight wasn't full and we had ample space. =) we got caught for eating our own food..hehehe.. that was funny. I just continued eating mine afterwards...
and yes the 'feel the difference' tagline was so funny! i asked ting if they were being sarcastic.. haha.. it was really different compared to changi int. airport.
but anyway i still like KLIA more and the low cost terminal next to KLIA is alot better than the one in sg. hehehe...
Haha ... thanks, so I guess this is the standard of service that they're providing. Still can't get over the fact that you can't bring your own food. Haven't been to KLIA yet =) ...
