Manglish anyone?

Mum was describing her terror at having to balance the clutch & accelerator pedals while on a moderately steep slope. She broke into a 'cold sweat'. Just a little background, she used to be quite proficient in driving a manual car but since she is driving an automatic nowadays, she isn't so confident anymore. Anyway back to our story ... fearing that she would slide down, she accelerated & over took the car ahead by basically cutting the corner. I was rather dumb-founded & asked 'what did the other driver do?', she said she didn't know & couldn't 'gostan'.

Then I thought ... how did that word 'gostan' come about? [for those who don't know, it means to reverse]. Having been here [in Perth] for 17 years of my life [more than half my life now] I sometimes miss these silly little words. It is funny how little things bring back the nostalgic feel. Sooooo ... lets go!!!

Alamak!!

Kannot tahanlahhhhh!!

Ooooiii sheeeehhhh!!

Wahhhh ... that guy terrer!!

I couldn't believe that there is actually a page in wikipedia about this. Let's learn some manglish together.
