Frustrated ...
Here is an excerpt of a discussion recently, let's call her Jane:
Jane: I'm so disappointed. I bought a packet of pistachio nuts & they were too salty. I've bought these before & they were never this salty. Should I take them back?
Me: Take them back.
Jane: But what if they say that the nuts are supposed to be this salty?
Me: Well, just try. If they refuse to give you a refund, then just leave it at that.
Jane: But I'm too embarrassed to take them back ...
Me: ??? [=.="]
Then it dawned on me [some may say 'duuuhhhh'] that Jane wasn't looking for a solution at all but instead was just telling me what was bothering her. Somehow that is enough & she is able to let go of the issue. Don't ask me how or why but that is just the way it is sometimes.
As for me, I got a little frustrated. When there is a problem, I like to fix it. Whether it is changing a light bulb or tightening a loose screw, when a problem arises something [very very deep deep] inside just springs to life & is ready to resolve the issue. However when a woman tells you her problems & leaves it at that, it is almost like watching a movie & stopping at the most exciting scene ... you're left hanging ... incomplete ... & you know that this [her] problem is going to bug you for the rest of the evening.
[~Sigh~ Oh well, life goes on. My frustration is probably brought on by work. Spent 2 days looking for a bug in my program which turned out to originate from someone else's program. So basically 2 days & nothing got fixed .... see why I'm frustrated? I need a drink ...]
[Side note: So why are women so complicated? Why do they talk about 5 topics at once? Why do they talk so much? The books in my previous post do answer these questions. Hahahaha ... the YA combined was fun last night. Still lots to learn about women though ... ]
