Magic of snow ...

Did you get a chance to watch some of the winter Olympic action in Torino, Italy?

I managed to catch a few nights action, mesmirised with all that snow and all the acrobatics. Many times wishing that I was in those snow capped hills as the heat sweltered down in Perth.

Just imagine if you were able to ski. As you ski down the mountain at speed, imagine the wind on your face, the snow on your goggles ... getting ready as you approach a jump ... your knees tense up, your heart beats in anticipation and finally you're flying in the air ... for a moment you're as free as a bird ... a chill in the air, absolute silence except for the rustling of the snow under your feet. Perfect bliss.

I'm still wishing Perth would snow ... won't hold my breath since it will the 37 and 38 degrees on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
